For the last month I’ve been job hunting which as given me quite a bit of time to hang out with Jessalyn during the week. A few days ago I got an offer letter and I’ll be starting my new job at the 1st of October. While Jess and I have been playing, going to the park and just have lots of fun I’ve been recording video using my iPhone. Below are a collection of videos I’ve recording with her.

I made Jen this video for our Wedding Anniversary. The Song is Gravity by the group Embrace, the same song that was played during our Wedding. The photos used for this project can be seen in greater detail here: “Four Years“.

Jen, I love you with all my heart and I’m a pretty lucky guy to have you and our three kids in my life. Thank you for all that you do for me and all that you put up with.

Dad and Jessalyn at the local waterpark for Fathers day. Lots of Moms and Dads we’re here playing with their kids in the water. Floating in the Lazy River is one of our favorite things to do.

Jessalyn looking at the “treasure”, this waterpark has a pirate theme with all sots of fun things to do that are pirate related.

One of the water attractions at the water park unfortunatly the water in this part of the park is VERY cold. Once it heats up I think we’ll be playing here quite a bit.

Another water attraction that has levers to control the flow of water, turn them all off and the top one shoots out pretty far. Beyond that is the 3 slides that are quite popular with the water park visitors.

The kiddy park play area, two park style slides and one enclosed slide. Many fun water toys to squirt each other with. Every thirty seconds the big head above topples over and dumps water below. If the head wasn’t dumping water I’d imagine that Jessalyn would love this thing more than she does.

Four hours later at the waterpark and we’re ready to leave.

Video from Day 1 and Day 2 of Easter in 2008. Day 1 we visited the La Mirada Regional Park for a candy hunt. Day 2 we visited our family’s house for a traditional Easter Egg hunt.

Jessalyn and I went to the Discovery Science Center to see the Bubble Fest event going on there. I wasn’t able to take pictures or video during the event but I did record the rest of our adventure.

Today shows Jessalyn taking a “practice run” with her new potty. She never sat on this kind before, although she does have a potty chair upstairs. She wanted to see how it worked, so I stuck her her on it wearing clothes and all.

We’ve been introducing to Jessalyn the idea of using a potty. She’s successfully used her Jess sized potty twice now. Since we have 2 bathrooms here, I got 2 different toilets for her to use. The first is one of those stand alone, kid chair toilets, and then for the downstairs I got the kind that goes on top of the regular toilet. The last thing I wanted to worry about was when we really get rolling with this, she needs to go and can’t make it to correct bathroom. So I figured it’s just easier to have something available in both bathrooms for her should the need arise. Also, since the downstairs bathroom is so small, I figured the kind that goes on top of the existing toilet would be ideal, rather than a separate chair for her.
